   Lanzone fruits on the vine and at the market after harvest
Lanzones are indigenous to the Philippines ... And in all the Islands where they grow ... The sweetest and most delicious are found on Camiguin Island ... This is not a boast this is fact.
Blossoms form on the tree's in May and are pollinated, the new fruits mature throughout the rainy season and are ready for harvest five months later in October.
At the festival
 On Camiguin Island the major attraction at this time of year is the festival held to celebrate the successful harvest ... and herald the onset of high season. The festival started in the 1980's and was quickly adopted as an
annual tradition by Camiguinon folk
   The high lights of the festival are the street dancing competitions, a tableu exibition and a search for miss tourism.
  The most important of these however is the street dancing competition and the accompanying parade in colourful localy made costumes
